Today on How It's Made: Hand Woven Kitchen Towels
The television show How It’s Made has always fascinated me. I love watching all the steps required to make both simple and complex products that we often take for granted. I’ve been asked more than a few times how I make hand woven kitchen towels. I love the process of weaving but there is a lot that must be done before you even get to that part of the work. While I was thinking about how to describe the process of creating kitchen towels I kept hearing the narrator from How It’s Made in the back of my head. I think this process would make a great spot in an episode of the show. The pictures below were taken while I was making a set of seven yellow, navy and white towels. You can click on each picture below for more information and a description of the weaving process.
